Telemetry decontextualises everyday objects in order to produce the unfamiliar. The images are created on still cameras by means of unusual lens combinations. The results are presented in a format that echoes the visual language of science.
Are these telescope pictures of distant planets? Are they examinations of the microscopic? Are they internal soundings of human biology? Or are they subjective interpretations of hidden psychological worlds? Telemetry holds these interpretive poles in balance. The images will continue to be beamed back to us, as though from a probe venturing into a new unknown.
